well, its cheaper then a 600cc SS or a liter bike.

so he’s not THAT far off it. hell, the reason I got mine was because it was a sports touring...but it was the most aggressively positioned sports touring on the market.

But to be fair, it’s like saying my Corvette is cheap to insure because it’s not an R8 (I’m assuming there’s a large difference in insurance costs there and that they’re both still expensive). Cheap on insurance would be a 300cc, or the greatest bike of all, the Grom.

vettes and R8 are actually SHOCKINGLY cheap to insure. the people that buy those don’t generally do stupid things with them and keeps the rates down.

Its more for a civic then a vette in my area.

I checked insurance on a 911 I was looking at, it was no more expensive than the Mustang GT I was driving. The drivers and write-offs determine the rates quite a bit. Some cheap cars are shockingly expensive to insure.

You’d be surprised about insurance. They are base almost entirely on precedent not on the vehicles capability to kill you. Most squids “have” to have the actual crotch rocket and that’s why insurance rates are so high for them.

When I was looking for my second bike I looked at an early ‘90s FZR and insurance rates were ridiculous. I ended up with an 2004 FZ6 that had more power and better everything than the FZR but insurance was less than half what I was getting quoted for the FZR.
